Influence of the Air Gap between Adjacent Permanent Magnets on the Performance of NdFeB Guideway for HTS Maglev System
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D model of a permanent magnet guideway (PMG) of a high temperature superconducting (HTS) magnetic levitation (Maglev) vehicle system was built up using FLUX 3D software.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical Studies of Axial and Radial Magnetic Forces Between High Temperature Superconductors and a Magnetic Rotor
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the magnetic forces of two symmetric HTS bulks and a magnetic rotor at a three-dimensional level and showed that the favorable configuration to construct the HTS bearing is that the axial height of each HTS element should be equivalent to the axially heights of PM ring plus FM shim.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical Prediction of Levitation Properties of HTS Bulk in High Magnetic Fields
Zhaoying Yan,Wenjiao Yang,Chang-Qing Ye,Ruichen Wang,Loic Queval,Gang Li,Kun Liu,Guangtong Ma +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a validated 2-D axisymmetric finite element model was established to study and predict the levitation performances of HTS bulk in high magnetic fields, and the fishtail effect Jc(|B|,T) dependence was employed to improve the effectiveness of numerical model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transportation of Static Magnetic Fields by a Practically Realizable Magnetic Hose
TL;DR: In this article, a practically realizable magnetic hose, constructed by wrapping a ferromagnetic cylinder with an alternating superconductor-ferromagnet (SC-FM) heterostructure, was developed and its capability to transfer the static magnetic fields, e.g., generated by a Nd-Fe-B magnet, was examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calculation and Optimization of High-Temperature Superconducting Levitation by a Vector Potential Method
TL;DR: In this article, a vector potential method for calculating the magnetic forces of high-temperature superconductor (HTS) subject to nonuniform magnetic fields generated by a permanent-magnet guideway (PMG) is proposed.
