Topological polaritons and photonic magic angles in twisted α-MoO 3 bilayers
Guangwei Hu,Guangwei Hu,Qingdong Ou,Guangyuan Si,Yingjie Wu,Jing Wu,Zhigao Dai,Zhigao Dai,Alex Krasnok,Yarden Mazor,Qing Zhang,Qiaoliang Bao,Cheng-Wei Qiu,Andrea Alù,Andrea Alù +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the photonic dispersion of phonon polaritons in van der Waals bilayers flattens, exhibiting low-loss tunable polariton canalization and diffractionless propagation with a resolution of less than λ0/40, where λ 0 is the free space wavelength.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coherent steering of nonlinear chiral valley photons with a synthetic Au-WS 2 metasurface
Guangwei Hu,Xuanmiao Hong,Kai Wang,Jing Wu,He-Xiu Xu,Wenchao Zhao,Weiwei Liu,Shuang Zhang,Francisco J. Garcia-Vidal,Francisco J. Garcia-Vidal,Bing Wang,Peixiang Lu,Peixiang Lu,Cheng-Wei Qiu +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the phase and spin of light were entangled in a transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) metasurface to enable coherent valley-exciton-locked chiral emission in monolayer tungsten disulfide (WS2) at room temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Directional Janus Metasurface.
Ke Chen,Guowen Ding,Guangwei Hu,Guangwei Hu,Zhongwei Jin,Junming Zhao,Yijun Feng,Tian Jiang,Andrea Alù,Cheng-Wei Qiu +9 more
TL;DR: A series of passive Janus metasurfaces that enable functionalities including one-way anomalous refraction, one- way focusing, asymmetric focusing, and direction-controlled holograms are experimentally demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Moiré Hyperbolic Metasurfaces.
TL;DR: By rotating two evanescently coupled HMTSs with respect to one another, this work unveils rich dispersion engineering, topological transitions at magic angles, broadband field canalization, and plasmon spin-Hall phenomena.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chirality-Assisted High-Efficiency Metasurfaces with Independent Control of Phase, Amplitude, and Polarization
He-Xiu Xu,He-Xiu Xu,Guangwei Hu,Lei Han,Lei Han,Menghua Jiang,Yongjun Huang,Ying Li,Xinmi Yang,Xiaohui Ling,Liezun Chen,Jianlin Zhao,Cheng-Wei Qiu +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D chirality-assisted metasurface concept relying on integrated magnetoelectric meta-atoms is proposed, which empowers the completely decoupled and arbitrary control of phase and amplitude at large incident angles and arbitrary polarizations.
