Characterization of Full-Sized Pore Structure and Fractal Characteristics of Marine–Continental Transitional Longtan Formation Shale of Sichuan Basin, South China

TL;DR: In this article, the pore structure characteristics of 12 typical marine-continental transitional shale samples of the Upper Permian Longtan Formation collected from Southern Sichuan Basin were analyzed, combining techniques of total organic carbon (TOC) content determination, X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, high-pressure mercury intrusion porosimetry, and low-pressure N2/CO2 adsorption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geochemical and geological characterization of marine–continental transitional shales from Longtan Formation in Yangtze area, South China

TL;DR: In this article, the geochemical and geological characteristics of marine-continental transitional shales from the Longtan Formation in this area have been investigated using a field investigation and relevant laboratory analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructural investigation of different nanopore types in marine-continental transitional shales: Examples from the Longtan formation in Southern Sichuan Basin, south China

TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D image processing method was proposed, expounded, and verified to clarify the geometrical morphologies, formation mechanisms, the size distributions, proportions and the fractal characteristics of different types of pores in marine-continental shales.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrocarbon geochemistry and charging history of the deep tight sandstone reservoirs in the Dabei Gas Field, Kuqa Depression, Tarim Basin, NW China:

TL;DR: The geochemical feature and evolutionary history of hydrocarbons from the deep Cretaceous Bashijiqike (K1bs) Formation tight sandstone reservoir in the Dabei Gas Field, Kuqa Depression were investi...
