Journal ArticleDOI
Volcanic history of the Imbrium basin: A close-up view from the lunar rover Yutu.
Jinhai Zhang,Wei Yang,Sen Hu,Yangting Lin,Guangyou Fang,Chunlai Li,Wenxi Peng,Sanyuan Zhu,Zhiping He,Bin Zhou,Hongyu Lin,Jianfeng Yang,Enhai Liu,Y. Xu,Jianyu Wang,Zhenxing Yao,Yongliao Zou,Jun Yan,Ziyuan Ouyang +18 more
TL;DR: The in situ spectral reflectance and elemental analysis of the lunar soil at the landing site suggest that the young basalt could be derived from an ilmenite-rich mantle reservoir and then assimilated by 10–20% of the last residual melt of the Moon's magma ocean.
Journal ArticleDOI
Data processing and initial results of Chang'e-3 lunar penetrating radar
Yan Su,Guangyou Fang,Jianqing Feng,Xing Shuguo,Yicai Ji,Bin Zhou,Yunze Gao,Han Li,Shun Dai,Yuan Xiao,Chunlai Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first attempt to explore the lunar subsurface structure by using ground penetrating radar with high-resolution was made using the Chang'e-3 (CE-3) rover.
Journal ArticleDOI
China’s Mars Exploration Mission and Science Investigation
Chunlai Li,Rongqiao Zhang,Deng-Yun Yu,Guangliang Dong,Jianjun Liu,Yan Geng,Zezhou Sun,Wei Yan,Xin Ren,Yan Su,Wei Zuo,Tielong Zhang,Tielong Zhang,Jinbin Cao,Guangyou Fang,Jianfeng Yang,Rong Shu,Yangting Lin,Yongliao Zou,Dawei Liu,Bin Liu,Kong Deqing,Zhu Xinying,Ziyuan Ouyang +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the scientific objectives of earlier and current Mars exploration missions worldwide are reviewed, and scientific objectives, payloads and preliminary scientific investigation plan of China's first Mars exploration mission are introduced, and expected scientific achievements are analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Novel Compact Double Exponentially Tapered Slot Antenna (DETSA) for GPR Applications
TL;DR: In this article, a double exponentially tapered slot antenna (DETSA) for GPR applications is presented, where the antenna arms are rolled back and lengthened, and lumped resistors are used near the ends of the rolled arms.
Journal ArticleDOI
EOF analysis and modeling of GPS TEC climatology over North America
TL;DR: In this paper, an empirical ionospheric model of the total electron content (TEC) over North America (20°60°N, 40°140°W) is constructed using the GPS TEC data collected by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Haystack Observatory during the years 2001-2012.
