Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of methanol concentration on the production of human β2-glycoprotein I domain V by a recombinant Pichia pastoris: A simple system for the control of methanol concentration using a semiconductor gas sensor
Yoshio Katakura,Wenhui Zhang,Guoqiang Zhuang,Takeshi Omasa,Michimasa Kishimoto,Yuji Goto,Ken-ichi Suga +6 more
TL;DR: A simple and inexpensive methanol control system will help bioengineering studies on the production of recombinant proteins in P. pastoris, the growth and production of objective proteins in which the energy for the production competed with that for cell growth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of association rate constant of antibody-antigen interaction in solution based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
TL;DR: In this article, a simple and rapid method based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for measuring the association rate constant of antibody-antigen interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
A kinetic model for a biopanning process considering antigen desorption and effective antigen concentration on a solid phase.
Guoqiang Zhuang,Yoshio Katakura,Tetsuo Furuta,Takeshi Omasa,Michimasa Kishimoto,Ken-ichi Suga +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors established a kinetic model describing the affinity selection process of phage display libraries and verified the model experimentally, and the ratio of the effective antigen density to the total antigen density was estimated to be 0.0127(+/-)0.0018 when bovine pancreatic ribonuclease A (RNase A) adsorbed on polystyrene beads was recognized by an anti-RNA A single chain Fv phage antibody.
Journal ArticleDOI
A practical kinetic model for efficient isolation of useful antibodies from phage display libraries
Yoshio Katakura,Guoqiang Zhuang,Tomohiro Nakatani,Tetsuo Furuta,Takeshi Omasa,Michimasa Kishimoto,Ken-ichi Suga,Suteaki Shioya +7 more
TL;DR: Experimental conditions which improve the efficiency of conventional off-rate selections are described, and an optimum set of operating parameters for isolating phages displaying an antibody with a high k on value was designed based on the model.
