Thermal-mechanical fatigue behavior and life analysis of cast Ni-base superalloy K417

TL;DR: In this article, the in-phase and out-of-phase thermal-mechanical fatigue (TMF) behavior of cast Ni-base superalloy K417 was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glass formation and sluggish nucleation: Growth in ternary eutectic Co–Hf–B system

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal stability and glass forming ability of Co-Hf-B alloys with ternary eutectic compositions were studied using high-temperature differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructures and mechanical property of AlCoNiCrFe alloy annealed in high magnetic field

TL;DR: In this article, a rapidly solidified high entropy alloy AlCoNiCrFe was annealed at different temperatures with high magnetic field applied up to 4 T. Both precipitation and coarsening of the precipitates were promoted during annealing in a high magnetic fields, and nanosized arrayed particles as well as boundary oriented secondary phases were formed with effects of magnetic field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Shear band formation and mechanical properties of Zr38Ti17Cu10.5Co12Be22.5 bulk metallic glass/porous tungsten phase composite by hydrostatic extrusion

TL;DR: In this article, the deformation and failure behavior of the as-extruded composite were investigated at room temperature under quasistatic compression, and it was suggested that the increase in flow stress for the extrusion process which introduced hardened condition in the tungsten phase resulted in splitting mode.
Journal Article

Trend and development of semi-solid metal processing

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the trend and development of semi-solid metal technique and discussed the processes and mechanisms for producing slurry of SSM and its industrial applications for more applications.
