Double chirped-pulse-amplification laser: a way to clean pulses temporally
TL;DR: A double chirped-pulse-amplification (CPA) Ti: sapphire laser system that includes two CPA stages with intermediate nonlinear temporal pulse filtering makes it possible to reduce substantially the background of amplified spontaneous emission (ASE), including prepulses and postpulses.

100-Terawatt titanium-sapphire laser system
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a 100 TW Ti: sapphire (central wavelength ∼800 nm) laser system with high, 10 Hz repetition rate delivering -2 J pulses with duration of -40 fs, and a low repetition rate (1 pulse per 15 minutes) regime delivering 100 TW pulse power (5J, < 50 fs).
