Journal ArticleDOI

A novel modification of lignin on corncob-based biochar to enhance removal of cadmium from water.

TL;DR: This research not only obtained a novel method to modify biochar but also furthered research into the lignin of biochar composition, and provided an efficient sorbent for heavy metal.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trifolium repens L. regulated phytoremediation of heavy metal contaminated soil by promoting soil enzyme activities and beneficial rhizosphere associated microorganisms.

TL;DR: The results showed that heavy metal-enrichment inhibited plant growth, but enhanced both anions (Cr2O72-) and cations (Cd2+ and Pb2+) uptake with corresponding mean values ranging from 19.37 to 168.37 mg/kg.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ammonia-nitrogen and phosphates sorption from simulated reclaimed waters by modified clinoptilolite

TL;DR: Results from the thermodynamics experiment involving ammonia-nitrogen and phosphates sorption reveal that the process is a spontaneous and endothermic process, and is mainly driven by entropy effect.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of endophytes inoculation on rhizosphere and endosphere microecology of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) grown in vanadium-contaminated soil and its enhancement on phytoremediation.

TL;DR: It is concluded that endophyte PRE01 or PRE05 inoculation could effectively enhance phytoremediation of V-contaminated soil by improving the rhizosphere and endosphere microecology without causing any ecological damage.
Journal ArticleDOI

The surface characteristics of hyperbranched polyamide modified corncob and its adsorption property for Cr(VI)

TL;DR: In this article, a low-cost anion adsorbent for Cr(VI) effectively removing was synthesized by hyperbranched polyamide modified corncob (HPMC).
