Synthesis of a novel porous silicon microsphere@carbon core-shell composite via in situ MOF coating for lithium ion battery anodes

TL;DR: The pSiMS@C composite is composed of an amorphous carbon shell and the porous silicon microsphere core consisting of interconnected nanowires, manifesting a novel core-shell structure as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of foam-like freestanding Co3O4 nanosheets with enhanced electrochemical activities

TL;DR: A facile and simple strategy to synthesize freestanding Co(3)O(4) nanosheets on conductive substrates is reported and the as-prepared product shows two-dimensional hexagons in morphology with mesoporous inside architecture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical performance of the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material synthesized by a sol-gel method

TL;DR: In this article, a carbon-coated Li3V2(PO4)(3) cathode material for lithium ion batteries was synthesized by a sol-gel method using V2O5, H2O2, NH4H2PO4, LiOH and citric acid as starting materials, and its physicochemical properties were investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), XRD spectroscope, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and electrochemical methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical fabrication of a porous nanostructured nickel hydroxide film electrode with superior pseudocapacitive performance

TL;DR: In this paper, a porous nickel film is prepared by selectively anodic dissolution of copper from an electrodeposited Ni-Cu alloy film and a porous nanostructured Ni hydroxide film electrode is further fabricated by the cathodic electrodeposition of Ni(OH)(2) film on the obtained porous Ni film.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ni(OH)2/NiO/Ni composite nanotube arrays for high-performance supercapacitors

TL;DR: In this paper, a template-free electrochemical approach was proposed to fabricate Ni(OH)2/NiO/Ni composite nanotube array films on the nickel substrate.
