Numerical simulation of single bubble motion in ionic liquids
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical simulation is studied to investigate the motion of single bubble in ionic liquids using an improved volume-of-fluid (VOF) method, besides the gravity and surface tension, a new drag force is added to the momentum equation in order to describe the gas-liquid interaction in the ionic liquid, which possess some special properties compared with the traditional solvents.
Journal ArticleDOI
New models for predicting thermophysical properties of ionic liquid mixtures.
TL;DR: A series of semi-empirical models were developed to predict the density, surface tension, heat capacity and thermal conductivity of IL mixtures and can be applied in a wider range of applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical simulations of bubble behavior and mass transfer in CO2 capture system with ionic liquids
TL;DR: In this article, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method with two improvements is developed in order to understand the bubble behavior and mass transfer performance in CO2 capture systems with ionic liquids.
Journal ArticleDOI
NH3 absorption performance and reversible absorption mechanisms of protic ionic liquids with six-membered N-heterocyclic cations
TL;DR: In this article, novel protic ionic liquids (PILs) with hydrogen bond donating ability were designed and synthesized by incorporating six-membered N-heterocyclic compounds including pyridinium as cations.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Overview of Ammonia Separation by Ionic Liquids
TL;DR: In this paper, the industrial application achievement of Ionic liquids in ammonia separation and recovery from NH-containing tail gas, which spans from simulation, pilot plant to industrial applications, is summarized.
