Enantioselective synthesis of dihydrocoumarin derivatives by chiral scandium(III)-complex catalyzed inverse-electron-demand hetero-Diels-Alder reaction.
TL;DR: An asymmetric inverse-electron-demand hetero-Diels-Alder reaction between o-quinone methides and azlactones to generate potentially pharmacological active dihydrocoumarins has been achieved efficiently by using a chiral N,N'-dioxide-Sc(III) complex as the catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergistic Kinetic Resolution and Asymmetric Propargyl Claisen Rearrangement for the Synthesis of Chiral Allenes.
TL;DR: The development of a kinetic resolution and asymmetric rearrangement of racemic propargyl vinyl ethers afforded chiral allene products along with the enantiomerically enriched substrate in good yields with excellent diastereo- and enantioselectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nickel(II)-Catalyzed Asymmetric Propargyl and Allyl Claisen Rearrangements to Allenyl- and Allyl-Substituted β-Ketoesters†
Yangbin Liu,Haipeng Hu,Haifeng Zheng,Yong Xia,Xiaohua Liu,Lili Lin,Xiaoming Feng,Xiaoming Feng +7 more
TL;DR: In the presence of the chiral N,N'-dioxide/Ni(II) complex, a wide range of allenyl/allyl-substituted all-carbon quaternary β-ketoesters was obtained in generally good yield and high diastereoselectivity with excellent enantioselectivities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic Asymmetric [8+3] Annulation Reactions of Tropones or Azaheptafulvenes with meso‐Aziridines
TL;DR: A possible transition state model was proposed to elucidate the origin of chiral induction based on the control experiments and X-ray crystal structure of the catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enantioselective Vinylogous Michael-Aldol Reaction To Synthesize Spirocyclohexene Pyrazolones in Aqueous Media.
TL;DR: An efficient asymmetric vinylogous Michael-aldol domino reaction between α-arylidene pyrazolinones and β,γ-unsaturated-α-ketoesters catalyzed by a chiral N, N'-dioxide-ScIII complex in aqueous media has been established.
