Exploration of the active center structure of nitrogen-doped graphene-based catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction

TL;DR: In this article, two different ways to fabricate nitrogen-doped graphene (N-graphene) and demonstrate its use as a metal-free catalyst to study the catalytic active center for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Co3O4 Nanowire@MnO2 Ultrathin Nanosheet Core/Shell Arrays: A New Class of High‐Performance Pseudocapacitive Materials

TL;DR: This work has shown that materials presenting high pseudocapacitence (metal oxides) are incorporated directly into highly conductive nanostructured carbons (carbon nanotubes) in a manner similar to batteries, which enables high energy density but is in general kinetically unfavorable.
Journal ArticleDOI

A High Energy Density Asymmetric Supercapacitor from Nano-architectured Ni(OH)2/Carbon Nanotube Electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, an additive-free nano-architectured nickel hydroxide/carbon nanotube (Ni(OH)2/CNT) electrode was proposed for high energy density supercapacitors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epitaxial Growth of Branched α-Fe2O3/SnO2 Nano-Heterostructures with Improved Lithium-Ion Battery Performance

TL;DR: In this article, a branched nano-heterostructure composed of SnO 2 nanowire stem and α -Fe 2 O 3 nanorod branches was synthesized by combining a vapour transport deposition and a facile hydrothermal method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nano-crystalline Cu-doped ZnO thin film gas sensor for CO

TL;DR: In this paper, a Cu-doped ZnO (CZO) film was prepared on a glass substrate by co-sputtering using znO and Cu targets, which possessed a columnar structure consisting of small crystals with an average grain size of around 5 nm.
