A note on the use of industry-relative ratios in bankruptcy prediction
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared model specifications based on either unadjusted or industry-relative financial ratios for forecasting firms in financial distress. But they found that the unadjusted model specification appeared to add incremental information not contained in the model based on unadjusted financial ratios.
