Defect chemistry and transport properties in YBa2Cu3O6+x and (La, Sr)2CuO4
TL;DR: In this paper, a defect model was proposed for YBa 2 Cu 3 O 6+ x and (La, Sr) 2 CuO 4 at low strontium content.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atomic Resolution Imaging of Nanoscale Chemical Expansion in PrxCe1–xO2−δ during In Situ Heating
Jessica G. Swallow,Ja Kyung Lee,Thomas Defferriere,Gareth M. Hughes,Shilpa N. Raja,Harry L. Tuller,Jamie H. Warner,Krystyn J. Van Vliet +7 more
TL;DR: An in situ investigation of atomic-scale chemical expansion in PrxCe1-xO2-δ (PCO), a mixed ionic-electronic conducting oxide relevant to electrochemical energy conversion and high-temperature actuation, and quantified the nanoscale chemical expansion induced by changes in PCO redox state as a function of position and direction relative to the film-substrate interface.

Journal ArticleDOI
Defects and oxygen diffusion in high Tc superconductors
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the data in the context of defect models proposed for the YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−δ and La 2−x Sr x CuO 4 −δ systems.
