Complete electric dipole response and the neutron skin in 208Pb.
Atsushi Tamii,I. Poltoratska,P. von Neumann-Cosel,Yoshitaka Fujita,T. Adachi,Carlos A. Bertulani,J. Carter,Masanori Dozono,Hisanori Fujita,Kunihiro Fujita,Kichiji Hatanaka,D. Ishikawa,Masatoshi Itoh,Takeo Kawabata,Y. Kalmykov,A. M. Krumbholz,Elena Litvinova,Elena Litvinova,Hiroaki Matsubara,K. Nakanishi,R. Neveling,H. Okamura,Hooi Jin Ong,B. Özel-Tashenov,V. Yu. Ponomarev,Achim Richter,Achim Richter,B. Rubio,Harutaka Sakaguchi,Yasuhiro Sakemi,Yoshiko Sasamoto,Y. Shimbara,Y. Shimbara,Y. Shimizu,F. D. Smit,Takayoshi Suzuki,Y. Tameshige,Jochen Wambach,R. Yamada,M. Yosoi,Juzo Zenihiro +40 more
TL;DR: The extracted E1 polarizability leads to a neutron skin thickness close to that of a neutron star, thereby constraining the symmetry energy and its density dependence relevant to the description of neutron stars.
Journal ArticleDOI
Candidate for the 2 + excited Hoyle state at E x ∼10 MeV in 12 C
Masatoshi Itoh,Hidetoshi Akimune,M. Fujiwara,U. Garg,N. Hashimoto,Takeo Kawabata,Keigo Kawase,S. Kishi,T. Murakami,K. Nakanishi,Y. Nakatsugawa,B. K. Nayak,S. Okumura,Harutaka Sakaguchi,H. Takeda,S. Terashima,M. Uchida,Yuusuke Yasuda,M. Yosoi,Juzo Zenihiro +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have analyzed the cross-section data using both peak-fitting and multipole decomposition techniques, and they have shown that the 2.08 MeV-cluster model can be interpreted as the excitation of the Hoyle state and the $\ensuremath{\alpha}-condensate state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic spectrometer Grand Raiden
Mamoru Fujiwara,Hidetoshi Akimune,I. Daito,H. Fujimura,Yoshitaka Fujita,Kichiji Hatanaka,Hidetsugu Ikegami,Ichiro Katayama,K. Nagayama,N. Matsuoka,S. Morinobu,Tetsuo Noro,Masato Yoshimura,Harutaka Sakaguchi,Yasuhiro Sakemi,Atsushi Tamii,M. Yosoi +16 more
TL;DR: A high-resolution magnetic spectrometer called "Grand Raiden" is operated at the RCNP ring cyclotron facility in Osaka for nuclear physics studies at intermediate energies as discussed by the authors. But it is not suitable for high-dimensional data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isotopic dependence of the giant monopole resonance in the even-A Sn112-124 isotopes and the asymmetry term in nuclear incompressibility
T. Li,U. Garg,Y. Liu,R. Marks,B. K. Nayak,P. V. Madhusudhana Rao,M. Fujiwara,Hitoshi Hashimoto,Keigo Kawase,K. Nakanishi,S. Okumura,M. Yosoi,M. Itoh,M. Ichikawa,R. Matsuo,T. Terazono,M. Uchida,Takeo Kawabata,Hidetoshi Akimune,Y. Iwao,T. Murakami,Harutaka Sakaguchi,S. Terashima,Y. Yasuda,Juzo Zenihiro,Mohsen Harakeh +25 more
TL;DR: It is found that the experimentally observed GMR energies of the Sn isotopes are lower than the values predicted by theoretical calculations that reproduce theGMR energies in 208Pb and 90Zr very well.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neutron density distributions of Pb 204 , 206 , 208 deduced via proton elastic scattering at E p = 295 MeV
Juzo Zenihiro,Harutaka Sakaguchi,T. Murakami,M. Yosoi,Y. Yasuda,S. Terashima,Y. Iwao,H. Takeda,Masatoshi Itoh,Hisataka Yoshida,M. Uchida +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an effective relativistic Love-Franey interaction was tuned to reproduce the velocities of polarized proton elastic scattering data within the framework of the relativism impulse approximation.
