TL;DR: The Einstein X-ray Observatory (HEAO 2) as mentioned in this paper is a fully imaging focusing Xray telescope with an angular resolution of a few arc sec, a field of view of up to one deg, and a sensitivity several hundred times greater than previously available in any Xray astronomy experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Uhuru catalog of X-ray sources.
TL;DR: A catalog of X-ray sources observed with the Uhuru satellite is presented in this article, where about 70 days of data have been analyzed for this catalog resulting in 125 sources and approximately two-thirds of the sources are located within plus or minus 20 degrees of the galactic plane.
Journal ArticleDOI
The third Uhuru catalog of X-ray sources
Riccardo Giacconi,S. S. Murray,H. Gursky,E. Kellogg,Ethan J. Schreier,T. Matilsky,D. Koch,Harvey Tananbaum +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new edition of the catalog of X-ray sources observed with Uhuru is presented, and 125 days of data have been analyzed for the 3U catalog, yielding a total of 161 sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Einstein database of IPC x-ray observations of optically selected and radio-selected quasars, 1.
TL;DR: The first volume of the Einstein quasar database is presented in this paper, which includes estimates of the X-ray count rates, fluxes, and luminosities for 514 quasars and Seyfert 1 galaxies observed with the Imaging Proportional Counter (IPC) aboard the Einstein Observatory.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chandra Multiwavelength Project X-ray Point Source Catalog
Minsun Kim,Dong-Woo Kim,Belinda Jane Wilkes,Paul J. Green,Eunhyeuk Kim,Craig Anderson,Wayne A. Barkhouse,Nancy Remage Evans,Zeljko Ivezic,Margarita Karovska,Vinay L. Kashyap,Myung Gyoon Lee,Peter Maksym,Amy E. Mossman,John D. Silverman,Harvey Tananbaum +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the Chandra Multiwavelength Project (ChaMP) X-ray point source catalog with ~6,800 sources detected in 149 Chandra observations covering \~10 deg^2.
