Effect of calcium content on the microstructure, hardness and in-vitro corrosion behavior of biodegradable Mg-Ca binary alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of calcium addition on microstructure, hardness value and corrosion behavior of five different Mg-xCa binary alloys (x = 0.7, 1, 2, 3, 4 wt. (%)) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of forging process on microstructure, mechanical and corrosion properties of biodegradable Mg-1Ca alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of Mg-1Ca alloy, a biodegradable metallic material, may be improved by hot working in order that it may be of use in bone implant applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of hot rolling parameters on microstructure and biodegradability of Mg–1Ca alloy in simulated body fluid

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of hot rolling on biodegradability of Mg-1Ca was investigated as a process to improve the microstructure and corrosion resistance of the alloy in simulated body fluid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cutting Force and Surface Roughness Characterization in Cryogenic High-Speed End Milling of Ti–6Al-4V ELI

TL;DR: In this paper, the cutting forces induced during high-speed end milling of titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) as well as the surface quality of the milled surfaces were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

EIS study of corrosion behavior of metallic materials in ethanol blended gasoline containing water as a contaminant

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of ethanol as a gasoline additive and water as a contaminant on the corrosion behavior of metallic components of a fuel delivery system were investigated, and the results revealed that the addition of ethanol to gasoline fuel decreased the solution resistance and polarization resistance values of the specimens, resulting in an increase in the corrosion rates of these specimens in ethanol blended gasoline.
