Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and ring-opening polymerization of 2-substituted 1,3-benzoxazine: the first observation of the polymerization of oxazine ring-substituted benzoxazines

TL;DR: In this article, 2-substituted 1,3-benzoxazines with a phenyl group as an oxazine ring substituent are synthesized with benzaldehyde through 2-hydroxy-N-phenylbenzylamine structures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Composition of the continuous phase in partially miscible blends of epoxy resin and epoxidized rubber by dynamic mechanical analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the Gordon-Taylor equation was used to predict the glass transition temperature of a sample containing both dissolved and phase separated rubber, which can be used to distinguish between rubber dissolved in the matrix (plasticizer), incorporated into the network (flexibilizer) or phase separated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kramers–Kronig analysis of infrared reflection spectra with perpendicular polarization

TL;DR: It is concluded that the external reflection technique can be used until the sample thickness becomes too thin to provide the edge shape necessary to avoid the detection of reflection from the back surface, and the total internal reflection technique should be used only for a thin-film sample.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review on the Accelerated and Low-Temperature Polymerization of Benzoxazine Resins: Addition Polymerizable Sustainable Polymers.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classified polybenzoxazine polymers based on their synthesis and evolution of structure, which led to classification of PBz in different generations, and discussed the role of additional functionalities in influencing the temperature of polymerization.
