Journal ArticleDOI

Thermophysical properties of sustainable cement mortar containing oil palm boiler clinker (OPBC) as a fine aggregate

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the thermophysical properties in terms of thermal conductivity, heat capacity, thermal diffusivity, density, compressive strength, water absorption, and sorptivity of cement mortars containing different percentages of oil palm boiler clinker (OPBC).
Journal ArticleDOI

On-demand dynamic performance of a thermal battery in tankless domestic solar water heating in the tropical region

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental investigation of a new design of solar water heater (SWH) employing evacuated tube heat pipe solar collectors (HPSCs) and latent heat storage (LHS) as a thermal battery was conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization and Mechanical Properties of Calcium Silicate/Citric Acid–Based Polymer Composite Materials

TL;DR: In this article, a novel composite of calcium silicate with different ratios of elastomer poly (1.8-octanediol citrate) (POC), one of the most biocompatible polymer, is used for biomedical application.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Performance and Numerical Simulation of the 1-Pyrene Carboxylic-Acid Functionalized Graphene Nanofluids in a Sintered Wick Heat Pipe

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental and numerical modeling of a heat pipe included with a phase change heat transfer was developed to assess the effects of three parameters of nanofluid, heat pipe inclination angles, and input heating power.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Performance Study of Composite Phase Change Material with Polyacrylicand Conformal Coating.

TL;DR: No leakage was found in the PCMs with coatings compared to those without under the same proportions of MA/ PMMA, thus justifying the use of coatings in the present study, and the proposed coatings can be considered in preparing fatty acid/PMMA blends attributed to the good stability, compatibility and leakage prevention.
