Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of a coherent state of the micromaser field
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that a coherent state of the cavity field can be generated in a micromaser with injected atoms in a coherent superposition of the upper and lower states.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of level statistics and Heisenberg-time orbits in diamagnetic Rydberg spectra
TL;DR: In this article, experimental level statistics of diamagnetic rubidium Rydberg spectra are presented for different types of classical dynamics, significant changes in the corresponding nearest-neighbour spacing distributions are observed which converge to Wigner-like distributions in the chaotic case.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparing a GHZ state, or an EPR state, with the one-atom maser
TL;DR: In this article, the one-atom maser can entangle the cavity field with two atoms such that the resulting state is a superposition of a Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state and another component.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sub‐Doppler spectroscopy of BO2 from backscattering
TL;DR: In this paper, the P-R line spacing in the (0,0, 0)2Π3/2← (1, 0, 0)-band of the A 2 Πu←X 2 Πg system of BO2 has been measured.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-pulsing behaviour in a mesomaser
TL;DR: In this article, the dynamics of a mesoscopic system of two-level Rydberg atoms, in resonant interaction with a microwave cavity mode and a coherent injected signal, is described in terms of Maxwell-Bloch equations with atomic propagation.
