Yutaka Mishima,C. Honda,Masamitsu Ichihashi,Hidefumi Obara,Junichi Hiratsuka,Hiroshi Fukuda,Hiroshi Karashima,Tooru Kobayashi,Keiji Kanda,Kazuo Yoshino +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of interferon-α, interferon-γ and cAMP on the transcriptional regulation of the serotonin transporter
TL;DR: The results suggest that the interferon-induced psychiatric side effects arise through regulation of serotonin transporter transcription and that the transcriptional regulation of the serotonin transporter is a possible neurochemical mechanism of affective disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of clonidine for prevention of perioperative myocardial ischemia: a critical appraisal and meta-analysis of the literature.
Kahoru Nishina,Katsuya Mikawa,Takanobu Uesugi,Hidefumi Obara,Munetaka Maekawa,Isao Kamae,Nobuo Nishi +6 more
TL;DR: The meta-analysis suggests that perioperative clonidine reduces cardiac ischemic episodes in patients with known, or at risk of, coronary arterial disease without increasing the incidence of bradycardia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oral clonidine premedication reduces postoperative pain in children.
TL;DR: The data suggest that oral clonidine premedication (4 micro gram/kg) is a possible approach to facilitating postoperative analgesia in children undergoing minor surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of Oral Clonidine Premedication in Children
TL;DR: The efficacy of two doses of oral clonidine as a premedicant preceding oral atropine in children is investigated in a prospective, randomized, study.
