Improvement of thermoelectric properties for half-Heusler TiNiSn by interstitial Ni defects
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have synthesized off-stoichiometric Ti-Ni-Sn half-Heusler thermoelectrics in order to investigate the relation between randomly distributed defects and temperature properties and conclude that the excess Ni atoms randomly occupy the vacant sites in the half-heusler structure, which play as phonon scattering centers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvement of the open-circuit voltage of Cu2ZnSnS4 solar cells using a two-layer structure
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the deposition of a CZTS layer by a two-layer process to improve the VOC of the photovoltaic cells, and showed that the two layers near a Mo electrode have a high Cu content and the second layer near the surface has a low Cu content.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct measurement of band offset at the interface between CdS and Cu2ZnSnS4 using hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Shin Tajima,Keita Kataoka,Naoko Takahashi,Yasuji Kimoto,Tatsuo Fukano,Masaki Hasegawa,Hirofumi Hazama +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the valence band offset at the interface between CdS and Cu2ZnSnS4 using hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES).
Journal ArticleDOI
Cylindrical thermoelectric generator with water heating system for high solar energy conversion efficiency
TL;DR: In this article, a cylindrical TEG consisting of ring-disk thermoelectric material is proposed showing that the total energy conversion efficiency is higher than that of a conventional pillar-type TEG.
