Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of poly(1-vinylimidazole)-grafted magnetic nanoparticles and their application for removal of metal ions
TL;DR: In this paper, a poly(1-vinylimidazole) with a trimethoxysilyl terminal group (Imn) was synthesized by telomerization of 1-Vinylimide, and the amount of polymer anchored on the particle was estimated by elemental analysis to be 5 wt %.
Journal ArticleDOI
Functional Organogel Based on a Salicylideneaniline Derivative with Enhanced Fluorescence Emission and Photochromism
Pengchong Xue,Pengchong Xue,Ran Lu,Guojun Chen,Yuan Zhang,Hiroyuki Nomoto,Makoto Takafuji,Hirotaka Ihara +7 more
TL;DR: Both strong fluorescence emission and photochromism properties were concurrent in one system based on a salicylideneaniline derivative and it was suggested that the self-assembly of the functional organogelator could lead to unique photophysical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of Strong and Tunable Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Nonchiral, Nonmetal, Low‐Molecular‐Weight Fluorophores Using Chiral Nanotemplates
Taisei Goto,Yutaka Okazaki,Masahiro Ueki,Yutaka Kuwahara,Makoto Takafuji,Reiko Oda,Hirotaka Ihara +6 more
TL;DR: A dilute solution system with the highest circularly polarized luminescence intensity achieved to date and a dissymmetry factor of over 0.1 was identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of helical super structure from single-walled bilayers by amphiphiles with oligo-l-glutamic acid-head group
TL;DR: In this article, double-chain alkyl amphiphiles with oligo-L-glutamic acid-head group were prepared and dispersed in water at pH 8 to 9 to form bilayer aggregates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chirality control of self-assembling organogels from a lipophilic L-glutamide derivative with metal chlorides
Hirotaka Ihara,Toshihiko Sakurai,Taisuke Yamada,Toshitaka Hashimoto,Makoto Takafuji,Takashi Sagawa,Hiroshi Hachisako +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a double-chain alkyl lipid with an isoquinoline-containing headgroup was derived from l-glutamide, and the critical aggregation concentration (cac) was estimated by detecting the enhancement of CD strength due to molecular orientation.
