Quercetin inhibits IL-1 beta-induced ICAM-1 expression in pulmonary epithelial cell line A549 through the MAPK pathways
Binwu Ying,Ting Yang,Xingbo Song,Xiaobo Hu,Hong Fan,Xiaojun Lu,Lijuan Chen,Deyun Cheng,Tao Wang,Dai-Shun Liu,Dan Xu,Yuquan Wei,Fuqiang Wen +12 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that quercetin negatively modulating ICAM-1 partly dependent on MAPK pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disease severity and clinical outcomes of community-acquired pneumonia caused by non-influenza respiratory viruses in adults: a multicentre prospective registry study from the CAP-China Network.
Fei Zhou,Yimin Wang,Yingmei Liu,Xuedong Liu,Li Gu,Xiaoju Zhang,Zeng-Hui Pu,Guoru Yang,Bo Liu,Qingrong Nie,Bing Xue,Jing Feng,Qiang Guo,Jian-hua Liu,Hong Fan,Jin Chen,Y. TL;DR: The high incidence of complications in non- influenza viral pneumonia and similar impact of non-influenza respiratory viruses relative to influenza virus on disease severity and outcomes suggest more attention should be given to CAP caused by non-Influenza virus.
Journal ArticleDOI
C-reactive protein levels predict bacterial exacerbation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
TL;DR: In adult patients with symptoms of AECOPD, an elevated serum CRP level of >19.6 mg/L indicates bacterial exacerbation, which may be a useful clinical marker for therapy of this disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asthma susceptible genes in Chinese population: A meta-analysis
Xiaobo Li,Yonggang Zhang,Jie Zhang,Yuling Xiao,Jin Huang,Jin Huang,Can Tian,Chao He,Yao Deng,Yingying Yang,Hong Fan +10 more
TL;DR: ADAM33, FcεRIβ, RANTES, TNF-α, ACE, β2-AR, IL-4R and IL-13 genes could be proposed as asthma susceptible genes in Chinese population.
Journal ArticleDOI
The −1082G/A polymorphism in IL-10 gene is associated with risk of Alzheimer's disease: A meta-analysis
TL;DR: This meta-analysis suggested that the -1082G/A polymorphism of IL-10 gene would be a risk factor for AD, and more studies with large groups of patients are required.
