An Observational Constraint of VOC Emissions for Air Quality Modeling Study in the Pearl River Delta Region

TL;DR: In this article , the authors conducted concurrent VOC measurements in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region during the summer of 2018 and found large discrepancies in the spatiotemporal variations of VOCs between observations and model simulations when using the priori VOC emission inventory (Multi-resolution Emission Inventory for China).
Journal ArticleDOI

Unexpected Fast Photochemistry Emerges in Cool Seasons China

TL;DR: In this article, Zhao et al. analyzed ozone pollution episodes in eastern China, observed daily total oxidants accumulation in cool seasons (spring and autumn: 60 ppb and winter 40 ppb) is comparable to that measured in summer (60 ppb), indicating fast photochemical production of secondary pollutants including ozone over the year.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Improving the Robustness of Multivariable Linear Quadratic Regulator via Parametric Design

TL;DR: In this article, a sub-optimal state feedback controller for linear time invariant systems (LTIS) with structured real-valued plant parameter uncertainties is presented, and a new performance index function, J r, for the measure of both robustness and dynamic performance is constructed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Improving the Robustness of Stationary Kalman Filter via Parametric Design

TL;DR: In this paper, a robust sub-optimal Kalman filter using parametric eigenstructure placement is presented, and a performance functional index is constructed in which the penalty terms to both the sensitivity and the non-optimality of the filter are included.

Application of data reconciliation techniques in Blast Furnace Gas pipe network of iron &steel plant

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed the methods of data reconciliation applied in the measurement systems of BFG pipeline network to solve the mentioned three problems, i.e., the measured data of flow rates in the pipeline network may be lost, contaminated by gross errors or disturbed by random signals which lead to random errors in the procedure of measurement, transformation and transmission.
