Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation, identification and characterization of phytoplankton-lytic bacterium CH-22 against Microcystis aeruginosa

TL;DR: The results suggest that indigenous bacteria isolated from eutrophic lake may be employed to regulate the ecological balance between the phytoplankton and bacteria, and consequently, to reduce the occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms in freshwaters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Label-free fluorescence imaging of cytochrome c in living systems and anti-cancer drug screening with nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots.

TL;DR: The developed nanosensor provides an invaluable platform for apoptotic studies and screening of anti-cancer drugs toward drug development, and exhibited high sensitivity and selectivity, rapid response, good cell-membrane permeability and low cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

MicroRNA-449a enhances radiosensitivity by downregulation of c-Myc in prostate cancer cells

TL;DR: It is found that miR-449a enhanced radiosensitivity in vitro and in vivo by targeting c-Myc in prostate cancer (LNCaP) cells, and it is shown thatmiR-447a enhanced radiation-induced G2/M phase arrest by directly downregulating c- myc, which controlled the Cdc2/CyclinB1 cell cycle signal by modulating Cdc25A.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proteome Analysis of Poplar Seed Vigor.

TL;DR: Data show that the decrease in seed vigor (aging) is an energy-dependent process, which requires protein synthesis and degradation as well as cellular defense and rescue.
Journal ArticleDOI

Accumulation and risk of heavy metals in relation to agricultural intensification in the river sediments of agricultural regions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the enrichment characteristics and risk of heavy metals in the sediments of Liucha River in Chao Lake Valley, where agricultural intensification has developed rapidly since the 1980s.
