TL;DR: In this article, a narrow-gap groove laser multi-pass welding of reduced activation ferritic martensitic (RAFM) steel with thickness of 35mm is conduced by YLS-15000 fiber laser and the microstructures of different regions in the weld joint were characterized, and tensile impact and micro-hardness tests were carried out for evaluating the mecharical properties.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of LBW and EBW weld joints of CLF-1 steel: A comparative analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural differences between the two types of joints and their effect on the impact properties were discussed, while the microstructure of EBW joint failed to show the improvement of impact toughness, and the extraordinary impact toughness could be attributed to the high scattering band.

Optimization of electron beam butt welding of 32 mm CLF-1 steel T-joints of Test Blanket Module (TBM) in ITER

TL;DR: In this paper, electron beam welding was applied to two T-joints without base plates, and achieved the single-pass welding and double-sided forming welding of CLF-1 thick steel plates via the optimization of technological parameters.
