Nutritional Indices for Assessing Fatty Acids: A Mini-Review.

TL;DR: Of these nutritional indices, IA and IT are the most commonly used to assess the composition of fatty acids as they outline significant implications and provide clear evidence.
Journal ArticleDOI

The pharmacokinetic characteristics and excretion studies of fucosterol from Sargasssum fusiforme in rats.

TL;DR: A rapid and sensitive GC-MS method was developed and validated and successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic and excretion studies of fucosterol in Sprague-Dawley rat, which showed poor absorption and slow elimination within the absolute oral bioavailability of 0.74 %.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activation of Liver X Receptors and Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptors by Lipid Extracts of Brown Seaweeds: A Potential Application in Alzheimer’s Disease?

TL;DR: In this article , the sterol and fatty acid profiles of brown seaweed extracts were analyzed by GC-MS and UPLC MS/MS, respectively, and determined their effects on the expression of LXR and PPAR target genes in several cell lines using quantitative PCR.
Journal ArticleDOI
