Journal ArticleDOI

Nanoindentation and wear properties of Ti and Ti-TiB composite materials produced by selective laser melting

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used nanoindentation to evaluate the elastic modulus and hardness properties of the Ti and Ti-TiB composite materials, and showed that the results showed that there is a high degree of consistency between the characterization using nanoinfentation and the wear evaluation from conventional wear tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and thermal behavior of two-phase amorphous Ni–Nb–Y alloy

TL;DR: A phase-separated Ni-based amorphous alloy is prepared in a glass forming system by rapid quenching of a Ni58.5Nb20.25Y21.25 melt.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and properties of FeCrMoVC tool steel produced by selective laser melting

TL;DR: In this paper, a high-strength Fe85Cr4Mo8V2C1 tool steel was processed by selective laser melting (SLM) based on tailored parameter variation studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sandwich-Stacked SnO2/Cu Hybrid Nanosheets as Multichannel Anodes for Lithium Ion Batteries.

TL;DR: This synthesis approach presents a promising route to design multichannel anodes for high performance Li-ion batteries applying rolled-up nanotechnology with the use of carbon black as intersheet spacer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of initial microstructure and impurities on Cu room-temperature recrystallization (self-annealing)

TL;DR: In this article, the initial microstructure of thin electroplated Cu films was investigated for different layer thicknesses and plating conditions, and the initial grain size of thin Cu thin films was found to be distributed homogeneously whereas the initial texture was inhomogeneous over film thickness.
