MiR-21 induced angiogenesis through AKT and ERK activation and HIF-1α expression.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that miR-21 induces tumor angiogenesis through targeting PTEN, leading to activate AKT and ERK1/2 signaling pathways, and thereby enhancing Hif-1α and VEGF expression; HIF-1 α is a key downstream target of miR -21 in regulating tumorAngiogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

MiR-26a Inhibits Cell Growth and Tumorigenesis of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma through Repression of EZH2

TL;DR: The results indicate that miR-26a functions as a growth-suppressive miRNA in NPC, and that its suppressive effects are mediated chiefly by repressing EZH2 expression.
Journal ArticleDOI

The putative tumour suppressor microRNA-124 modulates hepatocellular carcinoma cell aggressiveness by repressing ROCK2 and EZH2.

TL;DR: Findings suggest that miR-124 plays a critical role in regulating cytoskeletal events and epithelial–mesenchymal cell transition and inhibits the invasive and/or metastatic potential of HCC, probably by its direct target on ROCK2 and EZH2 genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transformation of NIH 3T3 cells by microinjection of Ha- ras p21 protein

TL;DR: The injection of purified Ha-ras p21 protein into NIH 3T3 cells is reported and it is shown that the purified protein itself is sufficient to induce a transformed morphology and establishes an assay for the protein which depends on its activity within a living cell.
