Association between nucleoside analogues and risk of hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence following liver resection
Chun Ying Wu,Yi Ju Chen,Hsiu J. Ho,Yao-Chun Hsu,Yao-Chun Hsu,Ken N. Kuo,Ming-Shiang Wu,Jaw-Town Lin,Jaw-Town Lin,Jaw-Town Lin +9 more
TL;DR: Nucleoside analogue use was associated with a lower risk of HCC recurrence among patients with HBV-related HCC after liver resection, and this association was verified in all subgroups of patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of Nucleos(t)ide Analogue Therapy With Reduced Risk of Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B—A Nationwide Cohort Study
Chun Ying Wu,Jaw-Town Lin,Jaw-Town Lin,Jaw-Town Lin,Hsiu J. Ho,Chien Wei Su,Chien Wei Su,Teng Yu Lee,Shen-Yung Wang,Chu-Hui Wu,Jaw Ching Wu,Jaw Ching Wu +11 more
TL;DR: Based on a retrospective, nationwide study in Taiwan, nucleoside analogue therapy use is associated with reduced risk of HCC in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antiviral treatment for hepatitis C virus infection is associated with improved renal and cardiovascular outcomes in diabetic patients.
Yao-Chun Hsu,Jaw Town Lin,Hsiu J. Ho,Yu Hsi Kao,Yen-Tsung Huang,Hsiao Nai-Wan,Ming-Shiang Wu,Yi Ya Liu,Chun Ying Wu +8 more
TL;DR: Antiviral treatment for HCV infection is associated with improved renal and cardiovascular outcomes in diabetic patients, and was associated with multivariate‐adjusted hazard ratios of 0.64 (95% CI, 0.30‐0.93) for ischemic stroke, and 0.39‐1.06) for ACS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association between antiviral treatment and extrahepatic outcomes in patients with hepatitis C virus infection
Yao-Chun Hsu,Hsiu J. Ho,Yen-Tsung Huang,Hsi Hao Wang,Ming-Shiang Wu,Jaw Town Lin,Chun Ying Wu +6 more
TL;DR: Antiviral treatment for HCV is associated with improved renal and circulatory outcomes, but unrelated to catastrophic autoimmune diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Covid-19 mortality is negatively associated with test number and government effectiveness.
TL;DR: The negative association between Covid-19 mortality and test number was stronger among low-income countries and countries with lower government effectiveness scores, younger populations and fewer hospital beds and predicted mortality rates were highly associated with observed mortality rates.
