Removal of pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene micropollutant from water via adsorption by green synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, green synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) were used for adsorbing benzo(a)pyrene and pyrene (PAHs) from water, and the results showed that the IONPs was capable to remove the pyrene and benzo (a) pyrene at the rate of 98.5 and 99%, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Treatment of leather industrial wastewater via combined advanced oxidation and membrane filtration

TL;DR: In this study the raw wastewater was treated with the predetermined Fenton's optimum dose followed by membrane filtration and the final effluent met the standards for unrestricted water reuse.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical Treatment of Industrial Wastewater

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was designed to investigate the chemical coagulation process for the treatment of the potato food industry wastewater of the "Chipsy factory" located at AbiSier, Egypt.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anaerobic/aerobic treatment of greywater via UASB and MBR for unrestricted reuse

TL;DR: The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficiency of integrated up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) followed by membrane bioreactor (MBR) as aerobic system for the treatment of greywater for unrestricted reuse in the NRC, Egypt.
Book ChapterDOI

Wastewater Management in Egypt

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight the challenge encountering the environmental management of wastewater in Egypt and discuss water consumption, industrial, domestic and agricultural pollution, and their adverse impact on water quality.
