Anti-complement activity of constituents from the stem-bark of Juglans mandshurica.

TL;DR: Four known flavonoids and two galloyl glucoses isolated from the stem-bark of Juglans mandshurica (Juglandaceae) and compounds 2, 3, and 4 were hydrolyzed with naringinase to give kaempferol, quercetin, and myricetin as their aglycones, and these were tested for their anti-complement activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

New furofuran and butyrolactone lignans with antioxidant activity from the stem bark of Styrax japonica.

TL;DR: Compounds 1-8 were tested in vitro for antioxidant activity against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals and exhibited weak radical-scavenging activity in the DPPH assay, with IC50 values of 380, 278, 194, and 260 microM, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of sealed and vented gaseous microenvironments on the hyperhydricity of potato shoots in vitro

TL;DR: In this paper, different types of ventilation of the culture vessel with and without the ethylene inhibitor KMnO 4 in the culture media were investigated in terms of their effect on hyperhydricity of in vitro cultured potato shoots.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-complementary activity of protostane-type triterpenes from Alismatis rhizoma.

TL;DR: Four protostane-type triterpenes were isolated from the rhizome of Alismatis plantago-aquatica L.orientate Samuelson and eleven protostanes derivatives were obtained by selective modification from alisol B 23-acetate, showing moderate inhibitory activity.
