Journal ArticleDOI

Uncertainty quantification in coronary blood flow simulations: Impact of geometry, boundary conditions and blood viscosity.

TL;DR: It is shown that uncertainty in minimum lumen diameter (MLD) has the largest impact on hemodynamic simulations, followed by boundary resistance, viscosity and lesion length, and the method presented here can be used to output interval estimates of hemodynamic indices and visualize patient-specific maps of sensitivities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coronary Artery Axial Plaque Stress and its Relationship With Lesion Geometry: Application of Computational Fluid Dynamics to Coronary CT Angiography

TL;DR: APS uniquely characterizes the stenotic segment and has a strong relationship with lesion geometry, and clinical application of these hemodynamic and geometric indices may be helpful to assess the future risk of plaque rupture and to determine treatment strategy for patients with coronary artery disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Left atrial mechanical function and stiffness in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

TL;DR: Patients with paroxysmal AF have decreased LA reservoir function and increased stiffness, in comparison with that of the control subjects, and LA stiffness was significantly related with LA volume indices and reservoir function.
