Deep learning on image denoising: An overview.

Ionic Polymer-Metal Composites (IPMCs) of EAP actuators is famous for its good property of response and durability.
The performance of Ionic Polymer-Metal Composites (IPMCs) is an important issue which is affected by many factors.
There are two factors for deciding the performance of IPMC. By treating anisotropic plasma etching process to 6 models
of the IPMCs, enhanced experimental displacement and force results are obtained. Plasma patterning processes are
executed by changing the groove and the land length of 6 patterns. The purpose of the present investigation is to find out
the major factor which mainly affects the IPMC performance. Simulations using ANSYS have been executed to compare
with the experimental results about the values and the tendency of data. Experimental and simulating data of the
performances seem to have similar tendency. In the next part of the paper, we observed the other properties like
capacitance, resistance and stiffness of 6 plasma patterned IPMCs. And we observed that the stiffness is the major factor
which affects the performance of IPMCs. As we seen, our problem has been reduced to investigate about the property of
stiffness. We suggest that the stiffness is largely changed mainly because of the different thickness of Platinum stacked
of the groove and the land part which are produced by anisotropic plasma etching processes. And we understand that
anisotropic plasma patterned IPMCs of better performance can be applied to various applications.

In holographic data storage, tilt is one of the critical disturbances. There are two types of tilt: tangential and radial. In real systems, tangential and radial tilt occur simultaneously. Thus, it is difficult to measure and compensate for tilt. In this study, using a quadratic window, which compares the intensity of a certain area, a tilt error signal was generated and compensated for with the proposed algorithm. The compensated image obtained satisfied a 0.3 dB tolerance.

Study of holographic data storage system is a very important division of optical data storage system. We propose overall holographic data storage system in order to reduce IPI noise and increase storage in limited capacity. Our system is realized and obtain good performance as to recording and retrieving in holographic data storage system.

IPI noise reduction by fuzzy rules and data compression using wavelet transform method in a holographic data storage system

The mobile robots to rescue a life in a disaster area and to explore planets demand high mobility as well as recognition of the environment. To avoid unknown obstacles exactly in unknown environment, accurate sensing is required. This paper proposes a sensor fusion to recognize unknown obstacles accurately by using low-cost sensors. Ultrasonic sensors and infrared sensors are used in this paper to avoid obstacles. If only one of these sensors is used alone, it is not useful fer the mobile robots to complete their tasks in the real world since the surrounding environment in the real world is complex and composed of many kinds of materials. So infrared sensor may not recognize transparent or reflective obstacles and ultrasonic sensor may not recognize narrow obstacles, far example, columns of small diameter. Therefore, I selected six ultrasonic sensors and five infrared sensors to detect obstacles. Then, I fused ultrasonic sensors with infrared sensors in order that both advantages and disadvantages of each sensor are utilized together. In fusing sensors, fuzzy algorithm is used to cope with the uncertainties of each sensor. TAMRY which is terrain-adaptive mobile robot is used as the mobile robot for experiments.

Sensor Fusion based Obstacle Avoidance for Terrain-Adaptive Mobile Robot

Complex "lifelike" behaviors are composed of local interactions of individuals under fundamental rules of artificial life. In this paper, fundamental rules for cooperative group behaviors, "flocking" and "arrangement" of multiple autonomouse mobile robots were represented by a small number of fuzzy rules by Subtractive clustering algorithm and DNA coding method. Fuzzy rules in Sugeno type and their related parameters were automatically generated from clustering inputoutput data obtained from the algorithms for the group behaviors. Simulations demonstrate the fuzzy rules successfully 
realize group intelligence of mobile robots.
