Recent development of super-wettable materials and their applications in oil-water separation

TL;DR: In this article, a review of recent advances in super-wettable materials including classification, synthesis methods and their applications is presented, and the major issues and challenges associated with the application of superwettables in the oil-water separation system are highlighted to understand better the research gap and limitations in the marketing of these materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal-organic framework as a photocatalyst: Progress in modulation strategies and environmental/energy applications

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of synthesis/modification strategies on MOF photocatalysis have been discussed with respect to the type of inorganic nodes, the modulation of organic ligands, and the pre/post-synthesis modification in MOF networks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phytogenic magnetic nanoparticles for wastewater treatment: a review

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of Phytogenic Magnetic Nanoparticles (PMNPs) for the removal of aqueous pollutants from wastewater was highlighted and the research developments of PMNPs regarding fabrication mechanism, regeneration and reusability for WWT were discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of microbes based fabricated biogenic nanoparticles for water and wastewater treatment.

TL;DR: Main issues i.e. mass production, leaching, poisoning/toxicity, regeneration, reusability and fabrication costs and process optimization are discussed which are main hinders in the transfer of BNPs based WWT technologies from laboratory to commercial scale.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sorption of cationic malachite green dye on phytogenic magnetic nanoparticles functionalized by 3-marcaptopropanic acid

TL;DR: In this article, 3-mercaptopropionic acid (3-MPA) was used to remove malachite green (MG) from aqueous solutions and achieved a high adsorption rate of 98.57% within 120 min.
