Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancing virus-specific immunity in vivo by combining therapeutic vaccination and PD-L1 blockade in chronic hepadnaviral infection.
Jia Liu,Ejuan Zhang,Zhiyong Ma,Weimin Wu,Anna D. Kosinska,Xiaoyong Zhang,Inga Möller,Pia L. Seiz,Dieter Glebe,Baoju Wang,Dongliang Yang,Mengji Lu,Michael Roggendorf +12 more
TL;DR: In vivo blockade of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway on CD8 T cells, in combination with ETV treatment and DNA vaccination, potently enhanced the function of virus-specific T cells and led to sustained immunological control of viral infection, anti-WHs antibody development and complete viral clearance in some woodchucks.
Journal ArticleDOI
TERT Promoter Mutation Status as an Independent Prognostic Factor in Cutaneous Melanoma
Klaus G. Griewank,Rajmohan Murali,Joan Anton Puig-Butille,Bastian Schilling,Elisabeth Livingstone,Miriam Potrony,Cristina Carrera,Tobias Schimming,Inga Möller,Marion Schwamborn,Antje Sucker,Uwe Hillen,Celia Badenas,Josep Malvehy,Lisa Zimmer,André Scherag,Susana Puig,Dirk Schadendorf +17 more
TL;DR: UV-induced Tert promoter mutations are one of the most frequent genetic alterations in melanoma, with frequencies varying depending on melanoma subtype, and in nonacral cutaneous melanomas, presence of TERT promoter mutations is independently associated with poor prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeted massively parallel sequencing of angiosarcomas reveals frequent activation of the mitogen activated protein kinase pathway
Rajmohan Murali,Raghu Chandramohan,Inga Möller,Simone L. Scholz,Michael F. Berger,Kety Huberman,Agnes Viale,Mono Pirun,Nicholas D. Socci,Nancy Bouvier,Sebastian Bauer,Monika Artl,Bastian Schilling,Tobias Schimming,Antje Sucker,Benjamin Schwindenhammer,Florian Grabellus,Michael R. Speicher,Jörg Schaller,Uwe Hillen,Dirk Schadendorf,Thomas Mentzel,Donavan T. Cheng,Thomas Wiesner,Klaus G. Griewank +24 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that angiosarcomas are a genetically heterogeneous group of tumors, harboring a wide range of genetic alterations, and the high frequency of genetic events affecting the MAPK pathway suggests that targeted therapies inhibiting MAPK signaling may be promising therapeutic avenues in patients with advanced angiosARcomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
TERT Promoter Mutations Are Frequent in Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Klaus G. Griewank,Rajmohan Murali,Bastian Schilling,Tobias Schimming,Inga Möller,Iris Moll,Marion Schwamborn,Antje Sucker,Lisa Zimmer,Dirk Schadendorf,Uwe Hillen +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown that TERT promoter mutations with UV-signatures are frequent in non-melanoma skin cancer, being present in around 50% of basal and squamous cell carcinomas and suggests that increased expression of telomerase plays an important role in the pathogenesis of these tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atypical fibroxanthoma and pleomorphic dermal sarcoma harbor frequent NOTCH1/2 and FAT1 mutations and similar DNA copy number alteration profiles.
Klaus G. Griewank,Thomas Wiesner,Rajmohan Murali,Carina Pischler,Hansgeorg Müller,Christian Koelsche,Inga Möller,Cindy Franklin,Ioana Cosgarea,Antje Sucker,Dirk Schadendorf,Jörg Schaller,Susanne Horn,Thomas Brenn,Thomas Mentzel +14 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that atypical fibroxanthomas and pleomorphic dermal sarcomas are genetically related, potentially representing two ends of a common tumor spectrum and distinguishing these entities is at present still best performed using histological criteria.
