Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of metals on thermal degradation of polyethylenes
TL;DR: In this paper, a chemiluminescence study on thermal degradation of some polyethylenes (LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE) on seven metal trays in the presence of triazines as stabilisers was carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of some antioxidants on the stability of ethylene-propylene elastomers
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemiluminescence investigation of thermo-oxidative degradation of polyethylenes stabilized with fullerenes
Silviu Jipa,Traian Zaharescu,Bárbara Gigante,Célia Santos,Radu Setnescu,Tanta Setnescu,Madalina Dumitru,Laura Monica Gorghiu,Wilhelm Kappel,Ion Mihalcea +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the stabilization effect of various carbon materials: [C60]fullerene, three adducts with levopimaric acid, two sorts of carbon black and nanocarbon on HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE have been studied by chemiluminescence at 180, 190 and 200 °C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of calixarenes on thermal stability of polyethylenes
Silviu Jipa,Traian Zaharescu,Radu Setnescu,Tanta Setnescu,Madalina Dumitru,Laura Monica Gorghiu,Ion Mihalcea,Marius Bumbac +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal degradation of polyethylenes (one type of high density PE and two of low-density PE) was studied by isothermal chemiluminescence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermo-oxidative behaviour of halobutyl and butyl elastomers
TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation of butyl and halobutyl elastomers has been studied by both IR spectroscopy and chemiluminescence methods and it was shown that the chlorinated elastomer is less stable than the parent hydrocarbon, whereas the brominated alkyl brominate is more stable.
