XPS studies on surface reduction of tungsten oxide nanowire film by Ar+ bombardment

TL;DR: In this article, an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) system was used to produce uniform tungsten cone arrays during high-energy ion beam bombardment.
Posted ContentDOI

The ORF8 Protein of SARS-CoV-2 Mediates Immune Evasion through Potently Downregulating MHC-I

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that ORF8 protein disrupts antigen presentation and reduces the recognition and the elimination of virus-infected cells by CTLs8, suggesting that the inhibition of ORf8 function could be a strategy to improve the special immune surveillance and accelerate the eradication of SARS-CoV-2 in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI

IL-4 Inhibits the Biogenesis of an Epigenetically Suppressive PIWI-Interacting RNA To Upregulate CD1a Molecules on Monocytes/Dendritic Cells.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that a piRNA acted as the signal molecule for a cytokine to regulate the expression of an important membrane protein for lipid Ag presentation and the transcription of CD1A was significantly inhibited.
Journal ArticleDOI

RNA helicase MOV10 functions as a co-factor of HIV-1 Rev to facilitate Rev/RRE-dependent nuclear export of viral mRNAs.

TL;DR: This report found that MOV10 potently enhances the nuclear export of viral mRNAs and subsequently increases the expression of Gag protein and other late products through affecting the Rev/RRE axis and demonstrates the complicated effects of MOV10 on HIV-1 life cycle.
