TL;DR: It is found that chronic atypical antipsychotics downregulated the transcription of metabotropic glutamate 2 receptor (mGlu2), an effect that was associated with decreased histone acetylation at its promoter in mouse and human frontal cortex and support the view of HDAC2 as a promising new target for schizophrenia treatment.

TL;DR: It is concluded that there is a pool of releasable Glu and Asp in the rat brain, and extracellular levels of amino acids monitored by in vivo microdialysis reflect the balance between neuronal release and reuptake into surrounding nerve terminals and glial elements.
