Journal Article
A refined genetic map of the region of chromosome 17 surrounding the von Recklinghausen neurofibromatosis (NF1) gene.
Diehl,Michael Boehnke,Robert P. Erickson,L M Ploughman,K. A. Seiler,J. L. Lieberman,Clarke Hb,M. A. Bruce,Schorry Ek,Margaret A. Pericak-Vance +9 more
TL;DR: The results support the localization of the NF1 gene to proximal chromosome 17q by using polymorphic DNA markers from this chromosomal region, and no evidence of locus heterogeneity is found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linkage analysis of von Recklinghausen neurofibromatosis to DNA markers on chromosome 17
Scott R. Diehl,Michael Boehnke,Robert P. Erickson,Alexander B. Baxter,M. A. Bruce,J. L. Lieberman,D. J. Platt,L M Ploughman,K. A. Seiler,Ann M. Sweet,Francis S. Collins +10 more
TL;DR: Strong evidence of linkage of NF1 to the centromeric marker D17Z1 is reported and a weaker suggestion of linkage to the ERBA1 oncogene is reported, both at a recombination fraction of zero.
