Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced critical magnetization currents due to fast neutron irradiation in single-crystal Y Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7 − δ
A. Umezawa,G. W. Crabtree,J.Z. Liu,H. W. Weber,W. K. Kwok,L. H. Nunez,T. J. Moran,C. H. Sowers,H. Claus +8 more
TL;DR: The largest increases in the critical magnetization current occurred at 77 K and 79 K, and there was a slight linear decrease in the transition temperature with neutron fluence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large anisotropic critical magnetization currents in single-crystal Y Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7 − δ
G. W. Crabtree,J.Z. Liu,A. Umezawa,W. K. Kwok,C. H. Sowers,S. K. Malik,B. W. Veal,D. J. Lam,M. B. Brodsky,J.W. Downey +9 more
TL;DR: The critical magnetization currents fall sharply with temperature in both single-crystal and polycrystalline samples and can be reduced by nearly two orders of magnitude by annealing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase constitution and thermal expansion of YBa2Cu3O7- delta single crystals.
TL;DR: The measured orthorhombicities were found to change smoothly through the superconducting transition temperature without any anomaly and thermal expansions of the unit cell parameters of both phases measured between 10 and 300 K were fit using a quasi-harmonic approximation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic properties of a high-Tc superconductor : direct evidence for non-BCS behavior
Reuben T. Collins,Zack Schlesinger,F. Holtzberg,C. Feild,Ulrich Welp,G. W. Crabtree,J.Z. Liu,Y. Fang +7 more
TL;DR: Observations indicate that for the best-characterized high-temperature superconductor, YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7}, the phenomenology of dynamic properties is fundamentally different from that of conventional superconductors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Superconductivity and structure of single crystal YBa2Cu3Ox
TL;DR: In this article, superconductivity at 91.5 K in single crystals of the compound YBa2Cu3Ox, Debye-Scherrer X-ray patterns shows an orthorhombic structure with a=3.82 A, b = 3.88 A, c=11.67 A.
