A green organocatalyzed one-pot protocol for efficient synthesis of new substituted pyrimido[4,5- d ]pyrimidinones using a Biginelli-like reaction
TL;DR: In this article, a green and facile one-pot approach for the regio-and chemoselective synthesis of 5-aryloyl-1,3-dimethyl-7-thioxo-5,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione derivatives in water at 50°C was demonstrated.
