Journal ArticleDOI

Phosphorylated Intermediate of a Transport ATPase and Activity of Protein Kinase in Membranes from Corn Roots

TL;DR: This phosphorylated intermediate from maize-root microsomes exhibits molecular properties characteristic of transport ATPases such as the yeast plasma membrane H+-translocating ATPase, which indicates existence of a transport ATPase in plant plasma membranes.
Journal ArticleDOI

An in vivo study of a nonstructural polypeptide synthesized upon TMV infection and its identification with a polypeptide synthesized in vitro from TMV RNA

TL;DR: Close similarity was found between hydrolysis products, suggesting that the sedimentable and the soluble in vivo , and the in vitro polypeptides are identical molecular species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide-gel electrophoretic detection of two high molecular weight proteins associated with tobacco mosaic virus infection in tobacco.

TL;DR: Proteins extracted from tobacco mosaic virus (TMV)-infected tobacco plants were analyzed by electrophoresis in sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gels and a larger protein was found to accumulate in greater amounts.
