Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of fertilizer application on soil heavy metal concentration.

TL;DR: The result indicated that Cd, Pb, and As concentrations were increased in the cultivated soils due to fertilizer application, although the statistical analysis indicates that these heavy metals increased significantly (P value < 0.05).
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal pollution assessment of sediment and water in the Shur River

TL;DR: Chemical partitioning studies revealed that organic metallic bonds were not significantly present in the sediment of the Shur River and elevated metals in sediment and water were found to be correlated with areas of the river that were proximal to direct and indirect mining activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Accumulation of heavy metals in soil and uptake by plant species with phytoremediation potential

TL;DR: In this article, concentrations of copper, zinc, iron, and magnesium accumulated by native plant species were determined in field conditions of Hame Kasi iron and copper mine in the central part of Iran in Hamadan province.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regional distribution pattern of groundwater heavy metals resulting from agricultural activities

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to investigate the concentration of heavy metals and distribution in groundwater in regions of Shush Danial and Andimeshk aquifers in the southern part of Iran.
Journal ArticleDOI

Agricultural activities impact on groundwater nitrate pollution

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of high nitrogen fertilizers application rates may increase the potential groundwater pollution in Andimeshk and Susa plains that cover an area of 1100 km 2 between the Dez and Karkhe rivers in north of Khozestan-Iran.
