Exploiting KRAS-driven Ferroaddiction in Cancer Through Ferrous Iron-Activatable Drug Conjugates (FeADC)
Honglin Jiang,Ryan K Muir,Ryan L. Gonciarz,Adam B. Olshen,Iwei Yeh,Byron Hann,Ning Zhao,Yung-hua Wang,James E. Korkola,Spencer C. Behr,Michael J. Evans,Eric A. Collisson,Adam R. Renslo +12 more
TL;DR: This work used an FDA-approved MEK inhibitor to produce a prototypical Ferrous Iron–Activatable Drug Conjugate (FeADC) which achieved potent MAPK blockade in tumor cells while sparing normal tissues, allowing sustainable, effective treatment of tumor bearing animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Erratum to: "Genome co-amplification upregulates a mitotic gene network activity that predicts outcome and response to mitotic protein inhibitors in breast cancer", [Breast Cancer Research, 19, (2017) (17)] DOI: 10.1186/s13058-017-0809-6

Crosstalk between invadopodia and the extracellular matrix
Shinji Iizuka,Ronald P. Leon,Kyle P. Gribbin,Ying Zhang,Jose Navarro,Rebecca Smith,Kaylyn Devlin,Lei G. Wang,Summer L. Gibbs,James E. Korkola,Xiaolin Nan,Sara A. Courtneidge +11 more
TL;DR: High-density fibrillar collagen culture is used to demonstrate that native type I collagen, but not a form lacking the telopeptides, stimulated Tks5-dependent growth, which was dependent on the DDR collagen receptors, and reveal the invadopodium to be a spatially complex structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Urinary Comprehensive Genomic Profiling Correlates Urothelial Carcinoma Mutations with Clinical Risk and Efficacy of Intervention
Vincent T Bicocca,Kevin G. Phillips,Daniel Fischer,Vincent Caruso,Mahdi Goudarzi,Monica Garcia-Ransom,P. S. Lentz,Andrew R. MacBride,Bradden W. Jensen,Brian Mazzarella,Theresa M. Koppie,James E. Korkola,Joe W. Gray,Trevor Levin +13 more
TL;DR: The potential of the UroAmplitude platform to reliably identify and track mutations associated with UC at each stage of disease: diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disentangling multidimensional spatio-temporal data into their common and aberrant responses.
Young Hwan Chang,James E. Korkola,Dhara N. Amin,Mark M. Moasser,Jose M. Carmena,Joe W. Gray,Claire J. Tomlin +6 more
TL;DR: The proposed method provides a new representation of these data sets which has the potential to help users acquire new insight from data and is able to find distinct subtypes and classify data sets in a robust way without any prior knowledge.
