Correction for Scattered Radiation in a Ring Detector Positron Camera by Integral Transformation of the Projections

TL;DR: A “deconvolution” algorithm for the determination of the scatter contribution in positron emission tomography is described and the level of scattered radiation can be reduced from 25 to 1% of the total count rate in the center of the projection from a homogeneous phantom.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of object contour from projections for attenuation correction in cranial positron emission tomography.

TL;DR: In testing the influence of the skull bone on the PET values, it was found that ignoring the higher attenuation coefficient of bone in the attenuation correction caused an error in the determination of activity of 11% peripherally and 6% centrally in the object.
Journal ArticleDOI

Feasibility of using web-based questionnaires in large population-based epidemiological studies

TL;DR: It is concluded that web-based questionnaires are a feasible tool for data collection in large population based epidemiological studies in Sweden and socio-demographic patterns vary between responders to a web and a paper questionnaire.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biobanking for Europe

TL;DR: In this review, the work involved in preparing for the construction of BBMRI in a European and global context is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Imaging of [11C]-labelled RO 15-1788 binding to benzodiazepine receptors in the human brain by positron emission tomography

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that [11C] Ro 15-1788 should be a valuable tool for quantitative analyses of benzodiazepine receptor characteristics and receptor occupancy in the brain of patients with neuropsychiatric disorders.
