Journal ArticleDOI

Genomic Analysis of the Olfactory Receptor Region of the Mouse and Human T-Cell Receptor α/δ Loci

TL;DR: A comparative genomic analysis of the mouse and human OR clusters that are found 5′ to the TCR genes in both species is provided and reveals no strong sequence conservation, TATA-boxes, or conserved transcription initiator sites in OR promoter regions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of sequence-tagged-connector strategies for DNA sequencing.

TL;DR: It is estimated that establishing the resource of STCs as a means of identifying minimally overlapping clones represents only 1%-3% of the total cost of sequencing the human genome, and, up to a point of diminishing returns, a larger STC resource is associated with a smaller total sequencing cost.
Journal ArticleDOI

A clade of trypsins found in cold-adapted fish.

TL;DR: The primary sequences of group III trypsins permit insight into function and mechanisms of cold adaption, and the techniques employed are broadly applicable to phylogenies characterized by a markedly different, or “fast‐evolving,” clade.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of copy number variants in whole-genome data using Reference Coverage Profiles.

TL;DR: A method to identify CNVs in individual genomes, based on comparison to joint profiles pre-computed from a large set of genomes, is developed and the increased sensitivity and specificity for individual genome analysis is expected to be critical for achieving clinical-grade genome interpretation.
