Reconstruction and control of a time-dependent two-electron wave packet

TL;DR: It is shown that a correlated two-electron wave packet can be reconstructed from a 1.2-femtosecond quantum beat among low-lying doubly excited states in helium, and multidimensional spectroscopy experiments of the type reported here will provide benchmark data for testing fundamental few-body quantum dynamics theory in more complex systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Atomic current across an optical lattice.

TL;DR: A microscopic model for the emergence of a collision-induced, fermionic atomic current across a tilted optical lattice is devised and Tuning the--experimentally controllable--parameters of the microscopic dynamics allows us to switch from Ohmic to negative differential conductance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effective-range theory for quantum reflection amplitudes

TL;DR: In this paper, an effective-range theory for the near-threshold behavior of the amplitudes describing quantum reflection in attractive potential tails was proposed by adapting the effective range theory of ordinary elastic scattering to the case of incoming boundary conditions at small distances.
Book ChapterDOI

Quantum Chaos, Transport, and Control—in Quantum Optics

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of quantum chaos and quantum control is presented, which opens up novel perspectives for our understanding of the dynamics of increasingly complex quantum systems and of ultimate quantum control by tailoring complexity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Collapse and revival in inter-band oscillations of a two-band Bose?Hubbard model

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of a many-body interaction on inter-band oscillations in a two-band Bose?Hubbard model with an external Stark force was studied.
