Physical Metallurgy and Mechanical Properties of Transition-Metal Laves Phase Alloys

TL;DR: A comprehensive review of the phase stability, point defects, and fracture toughness of AB 2 Laves phases, and on the alloy design of dual-phase alloys based on a soft Cr solid solution reinforced with hard X Cr 2 second phases (where X = Nb, Ta and Zr) is provided in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrical Conductivity of the Manganese Chromite Spinel Solid Solution

TL;DR: In this paper, a spinel phase based on Mn 1+x Cr 2-x O 4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) was synthesized and characterized, and the lattice parameter of the spinel was found to increase with increasing Mn content up to x = 0.7.
Journal ArticleDOI

La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3−δ + Cu composite anode running on H2 and CH4 fuels

TL;DR: In this paper, the perovskite La 0.5 O 3−δ (LSCM) is shown to be stable in both H 2 and CH 4 atmospheres at temperatures up to 1000°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cu(Pd)-impregnated La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3 − δ anodes for direct utilization of methane in SOFC

TL;DR: In this article, a single cell with the LSCM+20-wt.% Cu composite anode reached 0.86 and 0.48 W/cm 2 in dry H 2 and CH 4 at 850°C, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of electron concentration on the phase stability of NbCr2-based Laves phase alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the phase stability of NbCr2-based transition-metal Laves phases was investigated, using data from binary X-Cr, Nb-X, and ternary Nb−Cr-X phase diagrams.
